Perry Thomas Tyson, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 28, 2015. A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Mark Hudgins and Pastor Richie Nobles will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Tyson was born in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Morris and Ruby Ann Tyson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Francis Butts; brothers, Morris and Paul Tyson; and sister, Marie Gay. He served in the United States Army, during World War II and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Mr. Tyson was a Mason and member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by wife of sixty five years, Dolly Tyson; sons, Perry Thomas Tyson, Jr., Michael David Tyson, and Shane Morris Tyson; daughters, Angela Marie Davenport and Dianne Tyson Nobles; sisters, Doris Jean Jarriel, and Ruth Godfrey; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
