Lorena Geotina Abellana, 87, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Vernon Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be Friday, May 19, 2017 at 6:00pm with a visitation to follow from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Lorena was born in the Philippines to the late Moises and Carmen Catelo Geotina and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Max Abellana. Lorena was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a professor at University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines teaching English and Spanish. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Max Abellana, Jr. (Jannette) of Tampa, FL, Dr. Lillette Abellana Intaphan (Chaiporn) of Macon, Camilo G. Abellana (Deanna) of Easley, SC, Mary Sim Abellana Curry (Mark) of Alexandria, VA, LeeAnn Abellana Bellini (Dan) of Doylestown, PA, Carmen Abellana Vining (Richard) of Canton, GA, Chris Abellana (Caroline) of Cumming, GA, and Sean Anthony Abellana (Terra) of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Dr. Jared Intaphan (Dr. Sofy), Andrew Intaphan, Taylor Intaphan, Dr. Austin Abellana, Sienna Curry, Tala Curry, Alexander Bellini, Olivia Bellini, Carolena Bellini, Davis Vining, Palmer Vining, Riley Abellana, Madison Abellana, Sadie Abellana, and Logan Abellana; many beloved nieces and nephews of Cebu City and Surigao, Philippines.
